Sarah Rogers

Sarah is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies. She is a human geographer specialising in social and environmental change in rural China. Her research interests include climate change vulnerability and adaptation, poverty alleviation, resettlement, agriculture, the politics of water, and local governance. Her current research includes a study of poverty alleviation and agricultural scaling-up in Shanxi Province. She is a Chief Investigator on an ARC Discovery Project commencing in 2017 (DP170104138, led by the School of Geography), which will examine the techno-politics of China’s South-North Water Transfer Project.
